average life expectancy for an EGT probe?

Does anyone know where I can purchase replacement hoses for my 97? I have 130,000 miles and I probably should start on some hose PM. Would be nice to buy them as a package deal.

Thanks

Mr. Bobs Distributing told me two weeks ago, that they were going to have complete silicone hose kits for our trucks. It was going to include intercooler boots, radiator hoses, heater hoses, and even the little bypass hoses. I don't know if he has them in yet, but they might be worth waiting for.

i had thought about changing mine at 150k or so on my '94 but they showed no signs cracking or feeling spongy. still running the OEM hoses at 250,000 plus miles.

i plan on flushing the system soon and will probably go ahead and change the hoses regaurdless of how good they look this time.

i'd say you probably have a lot of life left in your hoses.

Curious as to why you are changing the hoses. Are they looking bad or do you just have some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket? I have the original hoses at 9+ years and over 160,000 miles and they look close to new. Some day when they do show signs of age I'll replace them with similar oem quality hose. Can't beat the oem price/peformance ratio! Most any auto parts store can get you name brand hoses within a day.

Thanks for the reply's and info. No, my hoses seem to look OK. I travel in my truck up and down in the East and I didn't want to get into any trouble. I thought having 130,000 miles that I should begin to start thinking about replacing some of my hoses. Obviously, I was wrong. I get a lot of great info here.

Thanks
