 So im almost at my 30k, belt looks ok, but im thinking of replacing it. SO, my question for you fine gents is what brand of replacment belts have you had good luck with? stay with Mopar or dayco? the mopar belt is almost 10 bucks more then the dayco. Thoughts?

cant go wrong with either or gates. if you change them so early you should have no problems with any, even autozone belts if they have there own brand. . just my thought

I just replaced my original belt at 103,000 with a Mopar only replaced it because of the mileage.

The old one still looks like new, so I put it in the back for a spare.

I thought my Mopar indicated it was Dayco??

Watch eBay, the guys that have the Dodge exhaust brake installed at the dealer often need that belt replaced on a new truck... often you can get a low mileage belt shipped to your door for under $20... that's what I did and have almost 90k on it now without issue.

I also carry the old one as a spare... they might not deteriorate, but they do wear out (the grooves wear into the belt)...

I assumed the one I got was Mopar Brand cause it came from the Dodge Dealer.

Don't remember what the packaging said.

I figured as long as the original lasted I would get the same kind.

FYI - Aside from the mileage, if you search the forum, as others, I installed a Gatorback belt ($25) and that eliminated the "chirp" at shut down.
