My 2001 3500 4X4 6 Speed is leaking transmission oil into the transfer case and then out the tailshaft. Does anyone know the numbers on the seals needed for this repair?. I would rather not buy them from Chrysler.

Not saying your wrong but are you sure that the trans fluid is pushing out trans and into the t-case? If this is true then it means its going through the trans output shaft seal and then pass the t-case input seal and into the t-case. Anyways you can get seals from quad4x4.com. Thats where I got mine from when I rebuilt my t-case. They are national seals but I unfortunally don't have a p/n for napa and niether did anyone else on this site when I asked. I tried going through napa without p/ns but had no luck they kept wanting to sell me seals for a 241 DLD. Your best bet it is probably quad even though they are a little pricey. Atleast you know you will get the right part.

A word of advice. If you replace the rear t-case output seal you should replace the bushing inside the tailshaft housing that the slip yoke rides in. I replaced the rear seal in my t-case just to have it start leaking again in a few days. That bushing had just enough play in it to stretch out the new seal and ruin it. I put a new bushing and seal in and the problem was solved Just my 2 cents.

RE part numbers

I have just replaced all the seals on my 01 on my transfer case and the output on my NV 5600 i have the part numbers all at the shop i can get them to you tomorrow morning
