I've swapped my backup lights with dual purpose led bulbs(Feniex Cannons). They are used as a hideaway strobe type bulb, and anytime the truck switches into reverse they go to steady on. If I switch them into "warning mode" they alternately flash (until I switch to reverse or turn them off).
Question is: There are three ways RAM approves to do this per their upfitter specs. One is by going through the VISM (not equipped) two, adding resistors, and third cutting and grounding a wire at the CBC.
MY preference is the CBC grounded wire. I'm not a huge fan of resistors either.
According to this document, how should I proceed. I'm completely lost.
Any help is appreciated.

Interesting stuff. If you're doing this with the backup lights then no further action is required on your truck. Swap & go. The CBC only detects a failed stop/turn lamp (it has it's own sense wire) and nothing else. So if you're swapping out the stop/turn lamp then you need to add a relay that grounds the stop/turn sense wire when the stop/turn lamp is on.

My EVIC is showing backup light out.
I read the PDF again. The diagram on page 4 refers to RAMs with LED taillights ("Connecting Aftermarket Tail Lamps to RAM LED System"). What you were asking -- replacing an incandescent bulb with an LED and described as "Preferred method (B) – cut and adds wire to a circuit at the CBC, refer to photos below" is missing the photos.

A quick google search found this doc which is 18 pages and has the pictures you're looking for. I think.
