Replacing cab clearance lights. Amber lenses or Amber LEDs?

Time to finally replace the old leaky cab clearance lights with the new version with better seal to the roof.

Dealer only sells new ones with Amber lenses. Im considering changing to clear lenses with Amber LEDs on my white truck. The problem is, the only amber LEDs Ive seen are closer to yellow. No way that would match my amber front running lights. Do they even sell true amber/orange LED bulbs I could use?

Wondering what others have done with their trucks, and where they got the best deal on quality replacement clearance lights.

Any and all advice or experiences welcome.

P.S. Does my 04 have a 'CAN Bus' lighting system, or do I use standard LEDs?

I used OEM 4th gen clearance lights with standard amber 194LL bulbs. They have a much better seal and look a lot better too.

No fitment issues w/bulb socket, screw placement etc? Are your bulbs true amber, like the running lights? Care to share a pic or two?

Yes direct fit for everything.

They are a dimmer amber than the parking lights.

Good to know the 4th gens lamps are a drop in replacement.
