Was wondering where to purchase the fuel line from tank, and roughly how many feet it would take. I've got the first start of the day blues.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I just went to my local friendly NAPA and bought a box of both sizes. Took the old ones out intact, laid them on the floor, and bent up some new ones.

How do you know it's the line from the tank? There are other things that can cause that symptom. Email me at -- email address removed -- for my 12 valve fuel supply system write up, how it works and how to fix it.

Joe, I've received your writeup and unless its the fuel heater, it should be the lines from the tank, old original lines.

I have replaced the ones up in under the hood. From all these other posts this seems to be the cause.

I replaced both my supply and return from the tank to the engine with rubber marine grade tubing. . I used approx 20' in each direction. It was a little less than that, but cant hurt to have extra. .

I used tubing from tridentmarine.com, the #365 hose. Your 95 may have 5/16" supply and return, you should check this before ordering. . My 96 has 3/8"ID supply and 5/16"ID return.

I cut a 3x8" hole in my bed to connect up the rubber to the old quick connects, just pushed it on to the ribbed end and double hose clamped it. No problems in 20k miles. I zip-tied the rubber to the old steel connections. Just make sure to route the hose in a good position with as much slack as possible when connecting up to the engine side. The front driveline is an issue here.

Its also a good time to remove 90% of the long metal return that terminates back by the cowl and re-couple it up by the air intake. I cut mine back and flared in a barb fitting, and brought the rubber up 2" forward of the intake fitting.

good luck

Did you remove the fuel heater? If not it is way more likely to be the problem. The fuel heater is very easy to remove so you should have done that. Some people think the fuel hearter is the whole thing that is before the lift pump. It is only the black part in that assembly.
