getting ready to replace the ign sw in my 96 3/4 ton ctd. i guess i need to disconnect the airbag before i start? is there a fuse i need to pull, and disconnect the batt, or is it something else? any other suggestions? looks like a fairly easy job.....

ok, did that, and removed the covers. now, i have regular torx bits, but not the anti theft ones... . these screws that hold the assembly in there have the anti theft tit in the middle of the screw... where can i get these, or for ease of replacing tonight, should i gently use a drill bit to remove the tit... .

the job is done. everything happy again. for anyone else that didnt know, you can get those tamper resistent star sockets at the part store. i've never had to use them before, but i had a good excuse to buy a new tool!

also, it's amazing how tight the new ign sw. and lock cylinder are. i replaced both, and they feel awsome. the old ones were very loose, and finally a piece of the lock cylinder end broke off. after 185,000 miles, and millions of cycles, i guess they were due!
