So I bent the snot out of my steering stabalizer mudding, but DC wants $150 for the shock alone. I have had a hard time finding it aftermarket. What have people replaced theirs with? Single or dual.

Thanks,

Seth

I bought the rancho for my 2004. Very easy install, everything lined up perfect. coobie :)

you can get a direct replacement shock just about anywhere, Rancho approx $45-$50, I'm not sure on price but skyjacker has the direct replacement, HD rplcmt, and a dual setup for 35" or bigger tires. I have 37"s and found out that just a single doesn't cut it for long, especially when you bottom it out in one dierction!

Jeff_K... Was the skyjacker the 7213 kit? Is it the dual inline kit with no cutting, just 4 new holes in stock brackets? I'm looking to put on a dual inline setup and don't like the idea of cutting the stock mounts off. Thanks

Those with the KORE single shock stabilizer, do you notice it pulling to one side at all? I've heard this in the past and may be looking into Carli's setup that uses dual FOX shocks...

TIA

I have the Kore stabilizer and noticed that it pulled to the left a bit. Dropping the nitrogen pressure to 180 lbs. seems to have cured it.

I have the Rancho on mine. Stock replacement and no issues. The Rancho seemed to stiffen up the front end a little, but the stock had 40,000+ miles with 2" leveling and 315s. It was definitely time for replacement.

I had to drop my KORE steering stabilizer to less than 40 pounds before the truck would steer straight. Not my best purchase. Harry

I know you already got one, but while we are talking steering stabilizers I was wondering if anyone has seen the wild dual stabilizer with differential guard setup that Defiant (same guys with the light bar) makes. I am curious how tough the differential guard looks in person. I have a KORE unit (Bilstien) and I can't seem to adjust the pressure right to elliminate the left hand pull. That Defiant setup was something like $600 though, so I can't say I am seriously considering it.

Had Sage install his dual and couldn't be happier, runs straight and true. Toss in the differential guard and, well, it's perfect.

Side Note: Met Victor Ortiz today, what a guy, bright, imaginative, knows his stuff... . Kore screwed the pooch when he parted company with this guy! He, Sage and Paul have some awsome stuff on the front burner. As for Kore... meh!!

Carli's dual stabilizer and skid plate

Anybody got a picture - or link to one - of this installed?

Will it fit the Dana 60 axle? - or does this stabilizer only fit 3rd gen trucks?

Thanks,

John

Thanks for the picture, lostronin.

How does that skid plate mount? From the pictures on the Carli website, there are several bolts included that I don't see in your photo. Are these to replace the diff cover bolts, with the plate mounting up to the pumpkin?

Regards,

John

Yes it mounts to the pumpkin via 6 bolts.

It's a bit crowed down there but I think these two pics will show clearly enough.

This is a sweet setup. I have one on my truck too. It ELIMINATED death wobble on my truck and is probably the best setup you can buy for our trucks. I like it because it uses a major heavy duty skid plate mounted onto the entire lower half of the front dif. A very smart design because you not only have a super-symmetrical design, you get the added benefit of the skid plate... . not to mention great looks.

Fox stabilizers that can be rebuilt, spherical hiem joints all around.

I did a writeup on my install HERE

I'm told the dual stabilizers won't work unless you have a 4" or more lift. Is this the case?

Not true in the case of the Skyjacker. I have the 5" Skyjacker lift with the dual stabilizers. It will fit regardless of lift height. It mounts to the bottom of the lower control arms on the little skid plates beneath the arms and at the factory stabilizer hole in the drag link. Takes about 1 hour to install with 4 holes drilled in those control arm skid plates. I really like it, but I do wish it didn't hang so low. They sit just barely above the axle tube.
