My headlight switch burned out and I purchased a new one but before I break something maybe someone can give me a few pointers on how to take the dash fascia off to get at the switch. I see no screws and I hesitate to just start pulling hoping a few plastic clips will let go. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Get your fingers under the bottom edge on each side of the steering wheel and pop the bottom loose. Then go around the edges loosening one or two clips at a time. It's no big deal - you won't brake it. Just be gentle. ;)

Installation is easy - it pops right in.

What HeavyHauler said is correct. I had mine out a couple of months ago. Just give a good tug and work your way around the guages before pulling it completely off.

it is a 2001 and i felt around for some screws before and didn't find any. I will try the gentle pulling tomorrow and hopefully will get it. I hope it is the switch that is messed up. The dome light comes on when the roller is in the mid positions, the thing is smoking hot unless I put it in the off postion but get this, the darn chimes will ring if the truck is just shut off and I don't open the door. The only way they will stop is if I pull the key out. I sure hope they are all related to the switch. We'll see tomorrow. Thanks for the help. Dave
