So I'm re-doing the fuel lines and while I was at it I noticed the dust boot on the lift pump is all cracked and practically falling off (I never should have pushed on it). The truck has about 240,000 miles on it and I'm sure it's the original pump. SO should I replace it since I'm here and have the time? Any input is appreciated

Geno's has the rubber cap. Do a fuel pressure test to see if it is low, also a quantity test for out put. Geno's also has the pump at a good price, if you want to, get one and carry it with you as aback up. Read up on it and do the checks that are suggested. Clean the strainer, check out the over flow valve, is yours leaking fuel? at the primer knob.
