Sand Drags Update

All Truck Nats at Carlisle

Well, I managed to meet up with MD500, only guy I could identify, since it was pouring and he was sitting in his truck.

Anyway, modified semi went to a Dodge Bighorn with radical cummins power - 314' in the pull off with less than ideal track conditions

There were no dodges in the money class for pickups

Street pickup wins went like this

1 - dodge

2 - dodge

3 - dodge

4 - ford

5 - dodge (a third gen!)

6 - ford

7 - dodge

8 - ford

Highlight of the night -

A brand new bombed 6. 0 stroker revving at everything in site hooked up to the sled and moved it ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE - his first two tries NEVER MOVED THE SLED! Don't remember the reason but they decided to let him make a third attempt and he finally got it about 60' down the track!

Oh well, bedtime

The Buck

The Buck seems to run a good show UNTILL it comes to diesel pickups.

Proram they should have let you run in the money class IMHO Oo.

Nice to meet all you guys.

It's nice to put names and faces together.

Despite the rain it was a good show.

you'd think with all the trucks with twin turbos, etc. they would make a new class for pulling at the buck. Still not as good as Muncie

until next time.

Sherry

Cliff, my only question for you, who was the roughly 20 year old cute blonde girl cheering at the top of her lungs for you? :D

Buck

Well i guess i'll chime in.  Dispite being "booted" i had a good time! it's was nice to meet all the

members i hav'nt met yet. IE larry, Paul, Sherry, and the rest.

I would have like'd to put on a show for ya'll but the other fellow w/ the twin truck agreed we prob. would have made fools of our selfs by just over powering the track. the sled was just TOO heavy!

every one of those trucks should have been able to at least get a decent pull. Cliff, you did awesome!! ,as did Diesel freak!! the dodges put on a good show. (a couple furds did ok too. :D ) I Knew going in there might be a chance i could'nt run so i was'nt to upset.

( i did go home in one piece:cool:  ) but that tracks been that way for 20 + years so..... its in the rules so thats that.

(would have been nice to do an exibition pull just to see what would happen but no go. )

Hey at least a Dodge won both pulls Oo. Oo.

OK i'll shut up now. . :p :p

The buck is missing out on a good thing. Put together right they could have a great turn out. O Well, it's there loss. Dodge still put on a good showing. Jeff

Buck

Well said Jeff. sorry for the bum dirrections:( glad you got there ok. good to see ya. i watched the vidieo today i shot, man that was sad:rolleyes:  ( the pu's) they just seemed more interested in getting us out of there than doing it right.

i still love the mod. big rig's though especially the Big horn dodge that won. 1150 cu in+:--) :--) Awesome!!!

See ya'll at the next event.

Scott

PS, Sherry, i see why john was so not into goin now. .

Hope this can be the begining of some long friendships. I really enjoyed the caravan of Rams from Sheetz to the Buck. See you guys soon.

Dodge Trucks

Didn't get home until 3:45 AM on Sunday but it was worth it. Even sitting in the rain like a dumba$$. They sure treat the pickups differently. Don't seem to care much about them. Took some pictures of the Dodges and the one furd that made it in the top 10. They might not be the best , but I'll post them in the members rigs section. they will be titled "the buck".

John Styer:cool:

Oh, just thought I'd add that I got to play like a teenager when I left the Buck, thanks to leaving late there was a whole lot of mud on the highway and I got to run it through 5 of the gears at about a 45 degree angle to the road, all the time the war department was yelling "you're not going to do that are you?". Oo.

Will24 & Matt

OK you found me out

When I go to a BIG event I bring my own cheer leaders it helps me pull with everything the little Cummins got :D

Try it sometime it's good for 20+ feet :--)

You just can't let off when you see your CHEER LEADERS working that hard :D

Cliff

I can pull that sled from anyplace they put it and I don't need two or three tries to do it.

Cliff, I was dead serious :D I wanted to know who she was :D A girl does not exist around here that would sit in the pouring rain wearing a t shirt with a rebel flag on it to watch dodges whoop ass on some fords, and cheer at the top of their lungs for a dodge :D

Anyway, if you were sitting in the area where that girl was (hopefully she's not a relation and I am offending you, if so, I didn't intend to) (and I do believe you were for a while) I was sitting literally NEXT to you at the top towards the beginning of the track, it was me, 4 buddies and the one guys 3 year old son (blah, he cheered for the fords)

Oh well, TTYL

That's AWESOME! I seem to always be attracted to stuck up bi*ches when I Am probably the most easy going person around, :D, and I saw a cute chick in a rebel flag shirt at the tractor pulls \

:D:D:D:p :D :D :D

saw a couple of trucks taking the scenic route down the river heading to the buck saturday afternoon. i was cleaning up my trucks when i saw them passing by. was wondering who it may have been. i know this isn't member's rigs spotted... . so what. it's a shame the buck has to be that way, it's probably won't get any better . spending money to go to the buck ain't worth it ,BUT i'm glad to see everyone had a good time and to find out dodge's of all size's kicked a$$. :D

I was upset that they did not have diesel pickup drags. That was the main reason myself as well as several other trucks came out! Also, from watching it last year as a spectator, I think the crowd really enjoys it. maybe next year.

Kevin,

i have been going to the Buck for years. Heck my dad took me there as a little guy. I have noticed in the last couple years its going downhill fast. I got turned away from a tuff truck event as well as 2 of my buddies. All of us ran last year and didn't change anything, but they did not let us run. They were turning mud bog guys away too!! I know i would have liked to seen pickup drags that would be cool. Maybe they'll get there act together next year.
