I had my auto trans rebuilt @ 75k by a trans shop in West Chester, PA who came recommended by a few people. It has never been right since! I have had it back for issues ever since and they can not seem to get it right. The last time blaming the tire size. (which hasn't changed from nitto 34") The three obvious issues are: 1. Sometimes it will slip/grind when I stomp on it from a stand still or under load pulling my 32ft travel trailer. 2. The biggest problem is that it will not shift out of first when I am on the pedal hard unless I let off it. It will just rev higher and not shift until i let off. 3. While driving highway speed and want to hit passing gear when I put my foot down it will downshift too far and rpms go through the roof. Don't know much about the rebuild but I know the converter was replaced at the time. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I used Chester County Transmission out in Coatesville... for the 47RE in my 99.

The only issues I had with them was they upped the line pressure to a point which would throw the trans into limp. Once they got that figured out, never had an issue until I traded it off.

My truck was unmodded, and they did ask me about current and planned modifications. I would probably recommend a reputable trans builder of your choice, and then have someone like Mid-Atlantic Diesel install it. I've been out of the auto-world for a while now, and wouldn't begin to know who to recommend... at that time, Goerand would have been my choice.
