I know this question gets played out WAY TOO OFTEN! But, because I don't have the information and money to just blow trying to determine what would work best, I figure I would ask you folks.

I just installed the TST #6 on my 94 Auto. I don't have the gauges installed yet (don't worry, I'm not really driving it either) I’m just waiting for the paint to come in from the dealer. What my question is, I'm using Auto meter Phantom's and currently have all 3 common gauges in that series, but the boost gauge is the 20vac & 30 boost. I know there is a phantom that goes up to 35. I had requested that one, but the distributor sent me the wrong one. I opted (because I didn't know what boost this would make) to select an Ultralite 60psi boost gauge when I re-ordered instead of the 35psi Phantom.

Now for the question. Would the truck stay under 35 psi with the setup I have, or should I use the Ultralite gauge. I don't really like the different gauge, and didn't know it was silver faced gauge (ugly in my opinion) and would have preferred to stay in the Phantom series. I just don't know if the 35psi will be enough. The TST Video said something about 30ish psi with the replacement fitting. I just don't want to go around pegging gauges and not know what the truck is doing!

Thanks folks,

Corey

Pegging gauges?

I have the Auto meter 35# gauge and depending on what power things you do, you can peg the gauge.

I have the bluechip box and the wastegate is disabled so I get up to 26-28 psi on the hard accel. so up to you.

Hope this helps.

Eric

I would keep the one you like best, as I don't think occasionally pegging the guage will hurt it. I may be wrong. ;)

The 35 will be OK by about 3-5 psi. Your kit will build 30-32 psi boost. Get the gauges that match, trust me. It'll drive you nuts otherwise.
