Gentlemen in- the- know: Last summer, had my oil changed on my 2010 3500 coming home from a cross country trip and the tech guy (Wall Mart in Cody WY.) reset my oil change indicator to 5,000 mi. instead of keeping it at Ram spec of 7500 mi. How can I get it back to factory spec?? Read an archived post that solved this problem for a 2017 model, but no work for this 2010.
Any help would be appreciated.

AFIK there is no way to change that.

The oil change reminder is up to 7500 miles, but will call for a change sooner if the computer thinks you have too much fuel dilution.

You have to go into your "radio" screen and change it, right off the top of my head I don't remember which buttons to push, I'll have to go do it, and then do a second post, I just "play with it" and I eventually find it, when you find it you can set-up other maintenance reminders too.

Thanks, Jihn. Sounds like your solution for your 2009 will work for my 2010. The owner's manual tells me how to eliminate the 'chng oil' message, which I've done many times. However, exactly 5000 mi after that oil change last summer by Wall Mart guy, I got the' chnge oil'., I cancel it, logged in another 250 mi.,changed the oil, then get the 'chng oil' message another 5000 mi from the last oil change!! I suppose I can live with this, just go by odometer reading to regulate oil changes. Crazy!!

Go to your Navigation screen, the one where your destinations files are, scroll to the very bottom, it will be vehicle maintenance okay on that one, go to oil changes (mines the first choice), and set it for what ever you want, and reset anytime, you can set up reminders for tire rotation, transmission service, air filter, etc.
