Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Resonator Back: Change to 4 inch

I was looking at the exhaust on my 2002 HO,



looks like 3 inch into the Resonator , than 4 inch into exhaust, than 3 inch

tailpipe,



As i understand, the turbo outlet is 3 inch:

So, If I cut the Muffler off after the resonator and in stalled a 4 inch

straight thru muffler , than 4 inch exhaust pipe. ???



Should get rid of major exhaust restriction, without to much drone at a decent price...

Yup. Straight pipe that bad boy 4" exhaust tubing all the way back to the tail. Then finish it off with a fancy chrome tip. If it drones, you can easily splice in a 4" muffler.
