I am getting ready to change mufler and tail pipe to that of a less restrictive is it all right to remove resonator?Not quite sure of the function other than sound dampening that the resonator preforms? Any and all help appreciated! DOC NIELSEN

took mine off when I installed 4in turbo back.

some say they get a (drone) noise. some don't. no performance diff. but the one end is only 3 1/2 in.

It is kind of a mini-expansion chamber

Some have complained of a drone at mid RPM's without it. I went with a 3. 5" NAPA muffler and left the rest of the system stock. Virtually no louder only a lower note out the tail pipe.
