ok guys i last reported to you i get 13. 8 MPG in total. Here is what i didn this weekend. .

I went for a nice long drive (50 miles) fom the first point i got up to 50 mph i hit the reset button. My truck got 21 MPG on that 50 mile adventure :D . I found the problem. . When i drive my truck in the city everything nosedives :( . In the morning to work the truck doesnt ever fully warm up, i guess i am not doing my fuel economy a good thing by running it like that, and also when i do fully warm it up in the city it isnt much better about 15 mpg. But when i drive it to work and home its probably getting about 12 MPG :--) . Just my test

Start and stop is killer on mpg. Plus you haven't really broken that motor in enough for the mileage to pick up. Wait until you have 10-15,000 on it and see how the mileage is. I just took a 500 mile trip in mine with 90% highway and was getting 16. 5 mpg and I only have 1500 miles on the truck.

Have you computed by hand?

My 2-wheel drive when driving short trips and not warming up only gets around 15mpg. Normally 17-18 in town and 21 highway running 75mph. I have almost 20,000 miles on mine.

You need to hook something real heavy to it. Say about 12,000 lbs and pull like heck for about 8 hours. Then stay overnight and pull the same thing back. Mileage will increase a little... ...

I get 18mpg or so in stop and start driving in Chicago traffic along with heavy-footed jaunts when the traffic clears. It will use tons more fuel when it's cold, I would guess that to be your problem.

Did a little run 250 one way loaded with 3000 lbs down 2500 back.

Engine warm refuel then reset and ran 60 (I wasn't in a hurry, no AC or heat)no stops overhead showed 25. 7 came back was running right at 25. 5 for the way back wife called and I needed to pick up pace so for last 200 miles ran 70 mileage dropped to 21. 7 :--) for the total 250 back.
