Hi Fellas,

Thanks to a friend I now know what to fix to get my cruise control back on my truck. He was thinking about purchasing a diagnostic tool from Matco. He got to borrow, so he hooked it up to my truck. Come to find out the right swithc on the steering wheel is bad. The set speed part of the switch is the true culprit. My question is, has anyone changed out one of these swithches, and if so, is it hard to do? Thanks for the help.

The swithces come as an a harness from Dodge, about $36. both switches and the connector. You need to remove the center cover of the steering wheel. I used a #2 Phillips bit in my 3/8 drive flexhandle ratchet to get the screws loose. The switches require a Torx screwdriver but it is easy. After a test run to find out what was wrong I didn't even disconnect the battery.
