Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) resurface exhaust

anybody try to resurface and spread exhaust manifold instead of replacing with an ATS?

No, I think that would increase the possibilities that it would crack and cause issues. Just start saving for the ATS... ...

Planing manifolds has been done for years. Most good shops check the manifold if they removed it. Stretching a shrunk manifold is best done by grinding out the bolt slots as a short (very short) term measure until you get a replacement. Go for the ATS unit.
