Return Line Info

I'm having some problems recently with starts, and have decided to look at the return line for a change out. What type of hose should be used to replace the existing line so this is a one time job? Also, the info I dug up from the archives is 3/8 for the fuel and 5/16 for the return. Are these sizes correct? '96 2500 Auto

Yes. Use hose meeting J30R7 specs. Most parts houses stock that type (50 psi rated) in Gates or similar brand.

Don't know what year your truck is but my early '94 is 5/16 for both. I think they changed midyear in '95.
