Hi everyone. So I found out my reverse lights do not work. Checked the bulbs- they are ok. I remember when my truck was few months old happened the same thing, and the dealer installed a new reverse lights switch, back in 2003, under warranty.
I went to the dealer, and ordered the switch. It was around $68. I think the OEM part # is 56007270. Fine. I picked it up and saw there was no washer with it. I asked if one was needed, and wondered how it seals properly.
The parts guy said " O, yeah, I guess there is a washer you need with it". Told me it was discontinued anyway, and to check NAPA. They don't have any info on it, and was told to find out size (exterior), and what material does it need to be made of. They looked at the switch from the dealer. If I knew all those details, I could probably find it myself.
So, does anyone knows what kind of washer is there, and where can I find one. What is it made of? I don't know why does not come with the switch when they said it has to be changed with the switch in the same time- new switch, new washer.
I do not want to install the new switch with old washer and to see a leak after that.
Any info will be appreciated.
