2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Reverse Lights

Hey guys. I'm wiring up an extra set of reverse lights on the truck. I was trying to figure out where/how to tap into the reverse lights? I am running the lights through a relay so that they will come on when I put it in reverse as well as be turned on seperately when needed. I have the nv5600 transmission. Thanks in advance!

I tapped into the 7-pin trailer wiring harness, seemed like the easiest place. I guess it depends on where you are mounting the relay.

Which one is the reverse wire on the hitch?

I guess i could ditch the relay, run a ground wire, and get the power from the reverse wire on the hitch. but I would lose the ability to turn them on by themselves. Right?

Thanks. Would it be ok to use the ground in the hitch as well? I would assume so.

Thanks for the thread... ... was thinking tonight I really need to get around to installing a set on my truck. Now this will be easy to find when I get around to it in another week or two. :-laf
