Reverse Switch

I noticed the other day, my reverse lights are not coming on when the truck is in reverse. I figure since the truck has 153K on it, it is due for something to go wrong. I was wondering if there is a switch or sensor that has gone bad, as none of the lights work. I find it hard to believe they have all gone bad at once.

Most likely the b/up light switch has gone belly up

It is just a 2 way connector-white with grey wire (from TIPM) and black wire to ground IIRC

Thank you sir. I will take a look at it. Overall, hard to beat the trucks track record. Replaced some u-joints, a heater motor, and now a reverse switch in 153K. .

When you pull the switch out, you may try squirting some contact cleaner into the switch, and then rotate the switch around a few revolutions. The switch may work again. If the switch has a spring loaded ball in the contact end, depress the ball and squirt the cleaner in past the ball. May save rou some $$$.

Don't know if you have the NV5600 or the Getrag. I had this issue on my NV5600 and the switch is on the passenger side of the transmission. 2 minute swap once I got under the truck and it was my problem. I have a thread on hear concerning my trial with it.
