I've got a 1998 3500 24valve that while at almost any speed is reving up for a couple of seconds then goes back to normal. Most of the time it's one after another, you can watch the tach go up then right back down. I've done the disconnecting of the batteries for 30mins. then hooking them back up and turning the key on and pushing the pedal to the floor 3 times slowly then starting. That worked a couple of times, but now it doesn't seem to help at all. Has anyone had this problem? Or can anyone tell me what is going on here.

I have that same problem & reset the same way you do. It still works for me. Initially I changed the APPS. I didnt think it really helped.

have you tried to un -hook your chip and what has your fuel pres ben when it dos it -any loss of power . that might help anser som questions thanks josh

My 02 was "pulsating" and sometimes quitting altogether while cruising at 65+. It threw the dreaded 0216 code (injector pump timing failure). Changed the lift pump and no help. Unhooked the Edge box and the problems stopped. Don't know for sure if pump is going bad and the Edge aggravates the situation but do know the problem has gone away- for now.
