Ok the REVO has been out for a while, so what settings have you guys found to give the most economy and least smoke?
I have a 2005, auto, stock except 285/75 tires. Tried REVO level 3, timing 4, everything else default, 14 mpg loaded (12' overall height with the equipment in the bed) averaged about 65mph, too much smoke. On return leg (750 miles each way) of the trip tried level 1, stock TQ, timing 4, rest default and got 20 mpg empty. Ave 70 mph with some rain. Nice software, but still too much smoke compared to stock. Would more rail pressure (with less duration I assume) reduce the smoke?
Odd thing was the REVO “stock” software smoked heavily during low rpm acceleration (in tow haul mode). Don’t remember the truck ever doing that before. Rechecked that the “stock” program was in the truck. Uploaded older software into Smarty and then loaded older stock program into truck. On a short run it did not smoke like with the REVO “stock” program. Weird.
