Archived MAP SENSOR? terrible throttle response, bucking & surging

Been fighting this thing for two weeks now. The truck will rev up very slowly no matter how far I have my foot into it. Then when I let off the accelerator, it gives a little burst before it goes back to idle. When I can get it up to speed on the road, the cruise control works fine and I can use that to control acceleration and maintain speed. I have fed it a apps and a map sensor, just put in new batteries and I have checked the grounds off the battery and every one to the frame or chassis I can find. - I have not touched the ecu ground to block yet, thats my next step. How do you guys get that thing out?- or can I add a jumper ground from the ecu to the battery? It looks pretty tough to get to the ecu for removal.

Codes set are 236, 522 and 122 I have searched everything with no sucess and I don't know what to do next. Anyone have any suggestions.

(fuel pres and filter are good)

I think a ground fixed it...

I think I got the truck fixed last night. I added a ground wire to the ecm from the battery and it started and reved up as it should. I could not give it a test drive, after adding the wire to the batt cable clamp, the clamp broke as I tried to reattach it good and tight. today I will replace that clamp and hopefully be leaving a trail of black smoke on down the road.

Test drive went one block. I think maybe this is a short somewhere. I am going to ask a dodge tech I have met to see if he wants to fix it, or guide me in a direction. Its funny that I got it to run in the garage, then once on the road no go and I have not gotten it to run in the garage again. Whatever- I am at the end of my rope, anyone want to deliver my wife a christmas tree... I guess its off to borrow a ford from my brother. Its sad.

Hate to hear the news, I am still planning to take mine in over the holidays and get it scanned to see what is causing the boost foolers to screw it up. I am just leaving well enough alone for now, since it is running ok without them.

What did they find?????

What did they find with your truck? I suspect that the APPS has gone south. Please keep the old one and give us the info on it. The no throttle up to me sounds like the off-idle isn't working. Keep inquiring. :)

We tried another apps, no luck. Star hotline directed the tech to the ecu. New one should be in come Monday. Ill let you know.

Apps

Did you test the new or replaced APPS? The contact resistance should be < 125 ohms. On off-idle 1/2 and idle 1/6 have measured many and they are bad bad bad.

I did not test it myself. I had pervious problems losing all throttle and setting apps codes, then I could restart the truck and it was all fine. Thats why I thought this problem as related to the apps. I have not heard yet today. It would not suprise me if all 3 apps that have been in the truck are bad and the dealer is not testing them correctly. We will see, hopefully soon.
