considering ordering a set of 19. 5" rims and heavy duty long haul tires. i just really like the look of them and i hate how my tires look when i got a big load on my trailer. plus im almost on the market for new tires. anyone had any expereince with them and with the rims? and i have the stock chrome rims right now, i was just curious what are they worth? like 200$? thanks for the input.

I ordered a set of tires from rickson this next wed I will have been waiting for 6 weeks. I wish I could comment but all I can do is keep waiting. I have 74K on my stock michelins and they are looking pretty hagard

Yes they told me 7 to 10 days and worst case scenario was 14 days and who knows, this next wed might be 7 weeks. I stopped counting

I checked the calendar and in all fairness its going to be 6 weeks and not 7. They have had some production problems due to people leaving and they are waiting on the rims still from the welder. I dont know I just kinda shut down mentally when people start telling me excuses so I dont really listen. I got the least expensive rims. Steel and 7. 5 width and counting the tires the total was 2600$. I didnt get speedo correction or any thing extra just wheels and tires and match mounting balancing. It surprised me all the tires that were no longer available. There were NO michellins or Goodyears in a 285. I havent called them back because..... I really dont care to hear why its taking so long. Maybe they will give me a free balance or something

7. 5' rims for my 03 ,when I ordered back in jan. the rims were going to the chrome shop. when they came back they were not to dans standards. so I am waiting for new ones

I called alcoa last year, they said they had a proto type rim they were testing, and said it could be out by next year, well its next year and they still do not have one out.

Don't see how Rickson will stay in business if it is now taking them over 6 months to fill a wheel order. That would be a shame since I have read many posts by owners that love the Rickson wheels. Hope this gets corrected.

that is kinda imbarassing if you ask me. i guess i'll just wait and see what happens, maybe i'll wait a year and do the dtt now and get the rims later...

I have been waiting for mine for a month now and they are supposed to ship around the 10th, I hope it dont take any longer  My 2. 5 lift is on and just waiting for the new wheels.

Cheers, Kevin

My 2. 5 lift is on and I am in the exact same boat as you. My tires are worn out

Like I said I have been waiting for a while, but I would rather wait if the wheels were not perfect. yes it sucks to wait. it just gives me more time to save and to install other bombs on my truck.

I know it stinks to wait that long for your wheels, but these comments are the only negative ones I have ever read about Rickson service.

I bought used wheels and Rickson sold me the tires. The service was great. I notice that the reason given for the delay was that the wheels were not up to Rickson's standards. I belive this.

Those guys make an excellent product that is sold for a fair price. That's reason enough to buy from them, but when you consider that their service is almost always excellent, that clinches the deal. I've been very happy.
