This week while I was at the SEMA show, I met Joe Donnelly and rode in Sickly (oe screaming Ram). This is the is the faster, hardest acc. truck I have even been in. It runs right to 4000 RPM and has no lag at all.

My truck runs good but Sickly would pull the paint off the nose.

It was great to meet Joe and ride in Sickly(YA RIGHT!!!!)
Joe optimized my timing to 16 deg. I have losed alittle bottom end torque but the top end is super.

Joe's a great guy and know his stuff (except how to name his truck).

Thanks Joe #ad

drawson,

I'll bet that with the #11, even though you lost a little on the bottom end, the bottom end is a lot stronger than stock or even the #12. What do you think?

The bottom end with the #11 slid forward, with the stock afc spring in mine has tons more low end than stock. I could stand to loose some & it would'nt hurt anything. If anything, it would help winter slick roads. #ad

Forrest, the loose in bottom end is slight, I had just before the trip put in my #12 Plate because of traction & clutch concerns that the 370 HP injectors gave me. The loose really isn't a loose as much as a movement to the torque curve up in RPM. The truck seems to like higher RPMs now and the fuel mialge is better on the first two tanks I'm up . 9 MPG.

Forrest when the hek are you going to get your HX 40 in? I can't believe you can sit on these toy that long with out installing them. #ad

I know drawson. It's been frustrating on this end. Time has been a problem. Work & other things & I can't get to it. Now the opportunity has reared itself. Gary & Frank are heading up to Scourge land for some transmission work. I'm going to caravan up & have scheduled for the Piers gang to put on the HX40x16, 4" down pipe and a governor spring kit. #ad

I should be taking the weekend to put in the turbo, but I thought I'd take advantage of a Cummins nutziod road trip. I guess I'm killing 2 birds with 1 stone. #ad

A road trip with some friends, a visit with the SOTN & gang & get some high performance goodies put on. #ad

Kids.

I'll keep on top of the mileage & EGT as best I can on the way up & on the way back. I already did a solo & towing mileage & EGT run East of Reno, but that was with a bunch cooler ambient, so this one will have to do.

We're leaving Reno on Sat morning & heading North. My appointment is for Monday morning & we'll skedattle Southbound Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. Depends on how loud the local Bar's are calling. #ad

Actually drawson, you're right on there. I was planning on having the SOTN folks do 4 things. Put on the oversize Monica, the gov spring kit, the 370 injectors & set the timing to 15. 5 or 16 degrees. #ad
#ad
We added up the total man hours & it got too much, so I opted for the 1st 2 items.

I've always had an unknown with this truck, the injectors. They are Bosch aftermarket, installed by Dodge when the truck was new by the original owner, but I don't know the size. I'd guess they are the 275hp versions. With the amount of smoke I put out under full throttle, I'd say there is enough fuel happening for now. #ad

Hey Drawson, Congrats on making Master good going.

Hemi, as long as Joe tied a cable to my truck I'd keep up. I have as of just before going down to Vegas put my #12 plate back in for the winter. After the snow melts I think my next mods will be a Sachs clutch and the governer spring kit as well as all 12 valve springs. And then may be a #10 plate.

Sickly and I went elk hunting the past two weekends. The Cooper 255-85 Discoverer LT tires did amazingly well in some very sticky and slippery mud. After returning home, I waited to see if Sickly was as smart as that Wagoneer on the new commercial that throws all the mud off itself onto its passengers after they get home. Nope. Sickly just crouched there, cringing and whimpering for a bath. Darn, I had to drag him to the carwash and spend $11 knocking off most of the mud outside and underneath, 25 cents at a time.
As I posted a while ago, 16 steps and still a sickly Ram. #ad

I mentioned to Dee that our Rams have a certain level of fueling that is intended by nature. I think Sickly is still underfueled #ad
Maybe we'll find out Nov 18 at Dyno Day here in Las Vegas.

Joe:

Do you know how much horespower/torque
your truck has right now?

Thanks!

On the Dynojet last July, Sickly dragged himself onto the roller and wheezed to 510. 7 hp on generic #2 diesel fuel only. Totally stock of course, DC! (well, all the parts were in stock at my garage when I used them)

Hope I'll get to come out--at the speedway?
Been wanting to meet you, and hope my 7,000lb mistress doesn't get a complex (or something else #ad
) from SICKLY...
may need an AFC spring... and other minor (stock TC, still) tweakages. --Show me da way!

Joe:

Thanks for the response! 510. 7 H. P. is
fantastic! I knew you were "way up there"
in the H. P. department!

Like "rich m" I am going to try and
get out there for your event. I am
also looking forward to the day I
can finally meet you in person.

BTW, those 370 Diamond B Injectors
are great! I appreciate all the
help you and "Koa Man" gave me
on them!

Thanks again!
