Right rear Trailer Light Problems

I have a 2004. 5 3500 and I am Having trouble with the Tralier plug in.

I read today in the TDR magazine about the same problem, at first I thought it was the the trailer lites but now I am not to sure, I wonder if this is some thing I can fix or is it a dealer type item, the right rear brake/turn lite on my drift boat trailer as well as my horse trailer are out. any ideas??? The tail lites on my boat trailer lite up about 5 of the L. E. D. 's

Did you check the fuse?

Yes, If the fuse were out wouldn't both light be out, Like I said the Tail light lites up partially as if it not getting enough volts.

If there dim that points to a ground trouble.

Find yourself one of these.

I believe that you will find a separate fuse's for each of the following circuits in the fuse box... . LEFT Stop/turn, RIGHT Stop/turn, Tail Lights, Backup lights, 12 Volt power... . all supplying the trailer plug... .

However the simplest method is to grab a test light... . the cover on the plug is marked with the pin out... . attach the clip to a good known ground and test the pin in the plug... . You said the Right side turn stop light, its the pin at the 3 o'clock position in the plug... .

I tried the testlite it shows power at the plug, for both stop and turn, I am going to look into more this morn. have to get boat ready for Spring Chinook fishin, so it will be hooked up anyway. Used a different trailer yesterday and had the same problem with it as well.
