Well, I thought I'd fixed it and I did get rid of a lot of the front end rattle when I replaced the "ready to fall off" right tie rod/drag link on my truck... but the brake caliper still rattles bad on rough roads. There must be just a tiny bit too much clearance between the caliper and the fore/aft ears on the support... every other vehicle ( ford/gm) I've ever had, has sliding shims or anti rattle clips between the caliper and the mounting boss / slide area... not this one. . nothing! and the parts stores have a dumb look when I ask about it. I've put new bushings and bolt kits in the caliper to no effect. . rough gravel roads make the right one rattle like heck... touch the brake very slightly and the rattle quits... checked the clips on the pads for tension. . no problem there, they dont move.
