It seems like evry time I pull a trailer with my 06 the modual that the tail lamps blinker signals go through gets tripped and my passenger side tail lamp stops working( just the blinker portion of it). Anybody else having this problem? I have had this modual replace once already. It is the modual that also contains the fuse box under the hood. The first time this happened the dealer upped the voltage capacity, because the said the newer trailers require more voltage to run thier lights. Now they are saying I need to replace it again, but at $500-$600 a pop I don't think thats going to happen. I wish they would have just left the fuse for the blinkers in the fuse box.

Bad idea.

I've got a popup camper on mine with no problems so far. I believe some members have installed an inline fusebox that will take the hit before it reaches the allmighty module. Hopefully, they'll chime in for some suggestions.

It seems to only happen when I pull a fifth wheel. Just wondering if the shop I had wire the plug in the box screwed something up. They tied it in just before the stock bumper plug.

If the stock bumper plug is a 7 pin, try plugging your 5th wheel cable into it. If the cable isn't long enough to do it, it's easy to make an extension, or buy an extension. This will let you know if it's a botched wiring job for the 5th wheel plug. For my fifth wheel I just use the bumper plug and use a screen door spring to keep the cable up and out of the way during sharp turns.

Well this problem has now become intermitant. I believe it to be a problem with the wiring and not the modual under the fuse box. The problem comes around after driving through rainy weather, and goes away after the wiring dries out. I pick up trailers in Oregon (lots of rainy weather) and didn't put 2&2 together. Figuired it out after having really bad weather here in Montana. I'll have to undue the crappy wiring job the local trailer shop did here and make sure everything is water tight.
