Hi, All:

I just got an '06 with 3. 73's and G56. I'd like to lower RPM's by 400-500 at 70 MPH. Does anyone know if taller ring and pinion gears are available for the diff? I haven't done the math yet to determine what ratio would be optimum, but I'm guessing something like 3. 45 or perhaps a little taller even. I thought I'd start by seeing what taller ratios if any are out there. BTW, I am running stock tires. I don't really want to put taller ones on to help me in my quest for lower rev's. I don't want to raise the platform of the truck - it's already hard enough to get into, Oo. or increase the height of the sidewalls and affect turning scrub radius or handling. I know under/over drives are an option, but they are pricey and have too many plusses and minuses in my opinion.

Thanks in advance!

i am not sure if it is available but since its a 4x4 you could look into a gear vendors unit that would give you a double overdrive for cruising. You cant use it in 4X4 but how often do you travel that fast when conditions call for 4WD. You are going to have to change out both the front and rear gears which would likely be as much as th GV unit. As for your question i have no idea just offering you a second option :) goodluck
