Ah, this should probably move to the politics page, but why is the guv'mint telling her if she can smoke pot or not! I have a more Liberterian outlook-If she is not harming other people who cares if she wants to smoke pot? OTOH, when in Rome do like the Romans. If pot is illegal and laws are enforced in Idaho don't smoke pot there until you get the law changed. But I am guessing there are plenty of people in Idaho sneaking a little weed here and there in spite of it being illegal.
Anyway Mary Ann was hot for sure.

Well, the pot conviction was part of it, she was actually pulled over for driving under the influence. She negotiated to just the pot charge. Had it not been for driving stoned, she would have not had the pot charge. It all in the details.

EDIT: Just thought I would add I really liked her, despite her slight entanglement with the law.

The DUI part should get the fullest prosecution of course. And is a complete violation of the Libertarian principle of not harming others. The pot smoking in and of itself, not so much. But of course her sharp lawyer got her off on the "real" crime.
