RIP transmission, looking for 1

Well the transmission bit the dust today... Why is it always on a Friday @ 5 o'clock... made it home, thats the best part... but now the search is on. I'm looking for a transmission if anyone has a lead please feel free to contact me via this website or at (918) 629-2619. After 335k I have no complaints since it happened at home and not on the road a thousand miles away. I just wish I could of made it to the dealership and traded it in, before this happened but, "S^%T Happens" SO... . if anyone out there has a good lead or contact, new or slightly used 68rfe please help this Okie out. I haven't talked with James since he built the full DTT/JTT 48RE for my '06 but I'm sure he can rebuild your 68RFE back to OEM or improved if Bill Kondolay @DTT is producing aftermarket parts for the new MOPAR transmissions.

Found a transmission and transfer case off a wrecked truck this weekend. Only 144 miles on the truck so maybe it just turned into my lucky day... .

Funny, one truck with 335,000 and one truck with 144! Curious, how much does one pay for a trans from a wrecked truck vs other means?

Met a guy a few years ago who buys wrecked dodge trucks, just remember him in the back of my head and found his number. Just so happened to have what I needed, transmission and transfer case $2700, had to drive about 200 miles round trip but well worth the time and effort. Went by my dodge mans house tonight and he was getting ready to stab on the new transmission. Carrier bearing was getting ready to take a dump,so driveline will be in the shop tomorrow. Only got about 40k out of the bearing which upsets me since the last one lasted 285k. . Had to rent a truck to continue work going to North Dakota on Wedensday, all they have are Chevy's. Not impressed with the truck at all,or maybe I'm just spoiled with mine. I'll know more on Thursday after a thousand miles. Could of gotten a transmission from Dodge on the net for $2900 +/- plus shipping, transfer case is 1800 +/- plus shipping. Found some used ones for $2100 + shipping, but they were transmission's only. Should be up and running by next week and I can't wait. I'll start looking for a 2010 this week,won't buy till end of year unless it's a deal I can't pass up... .
