ripples in the paint

The paint on my new truck just don't look right I got to looking close at it today when I bought it was late in the evening and I did not get a good look at the paint but it looks as if its dull and has a lot of ripples in it its not even as shiny as my 96 anyone else having problems like this and can i get it fixed thanks for any help

Carhart, there's a couple threads about paint quality issues recently, take a look a page or two back. Dodge is repainting trucks and extending paint warrantees.



Is your truck silver or Patriot Blue by chance? When shopping for Rams last spring I saw a lot of silver ones that looked bad on the lot. . . thin and blotchy. Pat. Blue is another problem color. I would take it to the dealer, there's a TSB out on it so at least Dodge is acknowledging the problem.

rbatelle I thought there was mention of a TSB in this thread but I guess I read wrong. I assumed it was a TSB when someone posted about a letter from Chrysler about the problem.
