Cheap diesel gas in Colorado

Tony Schumacher at TRKSTOP

I am happy to announce that SamsRams " Sam Ayars" has volunteered to assist me with the RMTDR as an Activities Director/Coordinator in the Colorado Springs area. He will be setting up meet and greets, dyno days, wrench days and other local events and assisting with bigger activities. As I told most of you when I took over as pres. that I would need assistance. This way a local guy can get involved in helping arrange things for the group. Sam will concentrate in the Colorado Springs area, but all RMTDR members are encouraged to attend. I plan on going to as many things as I can. It is really not that far from the Denver area and surrounding cities. If you would like to do the same in your area please let me know. This way there will be more events for all of us to attend if we so chose. Sam will be organizing some things for the Colorado Springs area very soon, so please welcome him to our group and attend if you can. I know there are several guys in the Springs area who want something local, so I figured this would be the best thing for all. I will make sure I keep involved and make people aware as things are organized and lined up. THANKS for your interest in the RMTDR and for your participation in our group.

Best Regards,

Mike L.

RMTDR President

Thank you very much Mike. I'm very excited about helping and looking forward to some great times and making some great friends. I am also the Activities Director, Secretary, and newsletter editor for the Southern Colorado Mopars car club of Colorado Springs - a rabid group of die-hard Mopar fans dedicated to preserving the old iron and also making them run better, cleaner, smoother, and longer. SCM is having its first Dyno Day down here in a few weeks, and though it is an SCM event it is also being set up as the first of many to come.

There are several dyno shops in the area and Mike and I have already talked about TDR dyno days and even some friendly competition events with our Powerstroke and Duramax brothers. We also talked about power tours, specifically with May Madness in Las Vegas next year being the first. Details to follow, but we're looking to build a Cummins Convoy out to the 'Strip. We'll be working TDR picnics, road ralley's, poker runs, deep woods camping/4x4ing trips, racing, and just about anything else we feel like doing.

I am also working a Bombfest in the near future, probably after the holidays. We will be talking with the local diesel performance shops and coordinating dates, and when those get firm you'll know where, when, and what kind of side dish to bring!

I am truly looking forward to meeting up with and enjoying events with the RMTDR, and just from the few folks I've already talked and worked with, I can say that 2005 is going to be a very good year.

Keep the hammer down and the power Mile-High!

Many thanks,

- Sam Ayars

COS RMTDR Event Coordinator

Sam,

Thanks for standing up and being counted for us "Springs" folks. My schedule did not allow me to spend enough time to completely fill this function, but I am more than willing to assist you if you need it. Let me know if you need help!

Mike, Thanks for taking the "Ram" by the horns :D I'm also available to assist you if you need help. Haven't had a breakfast down this way in a while. Sounds like we're in need of a meet and greet!

Thanks Larry -

Mike and I have had some great conversations and we're looking at some events very soon. Actually we're planning a Christmas Party for Dec 5th - details are sketchy but it looks pretty good. It'd include a gift exchange, door prizes, good food, lots of fun, scrap books, photo albums, and lots of bench racin'! Dec 5th is our target date and as soon as that's firm and we have a place (probably at Bennets Pit BBQ, either in the 'Springs or Denver) we'll post the firm details. Stay tuned.

- Sam
