Bandimere Results?

GTDR and GDOA Gathering for August or September

Next Wednesday Aug. 11th is a test and tune night at Bandimere race track. We're gonna go play. Oo. Oo. Oo. Anyone interested??

What time, how long, and how much?

What I really need to do is find my blasted boost leak. I pinched off the wastegate hose and could only get 30psi in 6th. Stage 2 injectors should be getting more than that! #@$%!

The gates open at 4:00 and racing starts at 4:30. It costs 30 for as many runs as you can get in. The later you get there the longer the lines. We are usually there waiting in line for the gates to open. They usually run till 8:30 or so, I've heard of even later depending on weather and whos there. Like when the Cummins dragster shows up to get a few test runs in.

We love the Wednesday session, as there are a bunch of non-diesel, import and first timers that get blown away when they see a 800 lb truck or the dragster run hard.

They ones that have seen some of the fast local Dodges, won't even line up agains them for fear of getting shown up.

We saw a Z06 Corvette get blown away, and he did not even stop for the time slip, just went home.

And yes, we try to make one of the last runs of the night, as the rubber is best for us then.

Mike,

Do you know what the cost is to spectate? Assuming no long term affects, you know like the need to BOMB, takes hold?

Fellas -

Is the test and tune still on? I'd like to jam up there, meet y'all, and drag the ole beater a bit. I haven't dragged the truck and the transmission has 239k miles on it, but I think it'll handle a few passes. I'm getting ready to tear it down for the conversion, after which everything will be bulletproof, but it'd be good to have some 'before' numbers, eh?

4pm at Bandimere? Do you plan to meet outside to get organized before going in beforehand? Either way, I'm game.

Hasta,

It costs $12 to spectate. I still plan on going for sure. I'll be in line waiting for the gates to open so if you wanna play, "Come On Down".

Well I was there, but I did not see anyone else, nor any other trucks (Dodge CTDs) running. :{ :{

Probably got there too late... as usual. I got there at 6:30, left at 8:00

I'm on the right on both tickets. Thought I would be nice to the starters and not cloud them. :D

Not the slowest one there (thank the gods) but not in the top 50% either.

My first time at the track, first time on a track.

So, is this OK for a HO with stock turbo (that can't break 30#'s of boost #@$%! ) W/M injection, Stage II's and a rookie at the wheel that is not exactuly sure when to shift, so he ran it to 3k through all 6?

Didn't put much of a scare into the ricers did ya lol. That's ok I got whooped by a little flat green camo painted Neon. Some of them little things will flat out make you look silly off the line :)

...Must have just missed you!

Bummer dude, we rolled in around 4 and left at right around 6:30, figures! Had a good run tho - got 4 runs in, and best of 17. 4 at 79. 46 mph. I never raced it before the mods, but mid-17's doesn't sound too shabby, ja? And the ole girl clicked over 240,000 miles on the way up. The transmission is way beat but the TCI converter makes up for a lot. Have to meet up with y'all later on - another meet or maybe the dyno event in late September?

Damn!!! If I had been paying attention and seen this earlier I would have been there. Man that sucks. Always a day late. Probably a good thing though as my transmission is on its last legs. I'm going to pick up my rebuild NV4500 from Standard Trans today at lunch. Windel was awesome and brought it with him since he was coming up for the GM Auto show at Invesco.
