Go to 58th Avenue exit on I-25(Think it is Exit 215)

Go West to First "T"(That's Broadway)

Go North(right,) maybe 7blocks they are on the Left(West).



Looks like about 40 people. . Jerry is planning on more of a hands on thing this time. . ie, no classroom,but in the shop.

Emphasis will be on the VP44 and lift pumps.



Being the computer whiz that I am,I posted this info and just noticed that I started another thread. . darnit.

Maybe it's too late, but I just found out about this and I'm not an RMTDR member. Can I come anyway? Do I have to go through some gauntlet or hazing ritual to get in?

Dammit! On my way down from where I live in the mountains, I get stopped at a road closure for a pipeline project and am told I didn't make their closure deadline and have to double back and go a route that's gonna add 1hr to my trip. Sheesh!

Just got home from the gathering at Central Motive Power. .

There was supposed be about 40 there. Ended up with 16 ,I think.

I thought that CPM put on a heckuva show for us,again. They had some good deals on some products for the TDR members. . such as Stanadyne,BD products ,injectors etc. Prices good until the end of Sept. Give 'em a call if couldn't make the meeting. In addition they bought the Pizza,and pop. Gary Smith was the "Ground"instuctor in the classroom. Did a great job. Found out some things on the "new" to us anyway "common rail fuel injection". He also talked a lot about the VP-44. .

We split into 2 groups for the "Preflight and walkaround"

I was with Jerry Parsons. . looked at test benches and the Insite hardware for the Cummins. Several questions floored and answered by Jerry. They offered to host another meeting in,say,around March. They are supposed to have their test benches then for the VP-44. Maybe we ought to buy the refreshments. What do you think.

I will let the engineer types tell the specifics. . just want to say thanks to CPM,especially the ones that gave up their Sat. for us.

Jerry Parsons,Gary Smith,Kevin Sugino,Vena Adler,Mary Dixon and a couple more that I missed their names.

What I heard was mostly general info on the Bosch Common Rail

System. . Gary Smith the GM for CMP in DEN talked about a meeting in Toronto for all the Bosch Service Centers. He said that

Chrysler had a Jeep Waggoneer there with a Mercedes diesel and some other stuff. . Didn't mention the Cummins(that I heard).

They had a Volvo with a diesel engine and the commonrail running and it sounded like a gas engine. They did say that Chrysler(Dodge) is going to let Bosch Service centers do the warranty work on the fuel systems. Sounds good to me.

I'm sure others will be commenting here,as many questions were asked and answered as people wandered around the shop. I only hear in one ear and not too good in that one. (G)

GUD show (dog & pony show) and this is the kind of info some of us like to gets!!! Nice place and persons, wish we could get something like that going down here.



Just another note, stopped by the Cummins shop and word is that the BBQ is next month (no date but the counterman looked hard at the 3rd wkend). So trying to get the ducks lined up agn for another trip... They did have a QUICKCHECK II in stock and I got it... . now I can watch things agn.
