I thought it went well. The cutaway engine was really cool. Food was good. Had a variety of speakers Valvoline, Fleetgaurd, Cummins rep, Chrysler rep all did a pretty good job of imparting information on their products and the future of their products. Had a pretty good q&a session at the end with all the reps answering. There were a couple vendors there showing their wares. All in all I thought it was great and will if possible make the one next year.

I missed the Denver RMTDR event ... but Moab was a lot of fun! :D

When's the next one? Watch, I'll be out of town <again>!

After "lurking" around here in read-only mode for over 3 years, and attending various RMTDR & DTR events, I *finally* signed up! Figured this was the best place for my first post to say "Hi!"

Welcome Tim. The next thing we have going on is the Rocky Mountain Cummins Truckfest at Bandimere on July 27th I think it is . Last Sunday in July and then a dyno day in September. In the regional/local/central forum there is a post called rmtdr schedule 2003 that has the dates and preplanned events in it. How was Moab?

Moab was awesome!

Instead of the usual 5 - 7 riders, we had almost 30 riders; most of them were folks we know from the internet but have never ridden with before. Needless to say, we were worried!

Last spring we started using a rope on the front of the quads to help some folks over the steep stuff. For this ride, nearly everone had ropes and we had a lot of teamwork. We took a large group of folks through Poison Spider, Pritchett Canyon, and lots of other places *quicker* than we normaly go through with a smaller group! We had no serious injuries or damage to quads. It was amazing. At the end of the day, Jethro's 2-stroke "Margarita Machine" helped relax the muscles and sooth the bruises. :) No kidding, this guy has what looks like a weed-eater motor on his gas-powered blender!

Now I'm getting ready for the next trip ... gonna take close to two months to visit friends and relatives around the country. We plan to get back to Colorado around July 25 - just in time to help out with the Gold Prospectors of Colorado booth at the Fairplay Burro Days festival. I guess this means I'll miss the Truckfest. I'll be lucky if I get home in time to take a nap before starting work Sunday night.
