Convoy >> Cheyenne to PFI in Fort Collins Sept. 25th

New Head of RMTDR

Heads Up!!!

Mark yor calendars and plan on showing.

We are setting up a Charity Dyno day at PFI in Ft. Collins, CO with the NCOPSD club and any others who would like to attend. This will be held on Saturday Sept. 25th. As soon as I find out times and more information I will post all the details. If you have ideas or suggestions for the event please let me know as I am working with Shay from the NCOPSD club organizing and doing this event.

This should be a good time and is an opportunity to help a charity and get together with our friends or rivals. We are looking for a food vendor type person to be there, so we can make it a full day event and have lots of fun. Let me know if you plan on attending so we can keep track and prepare for this. We may also need hands with getting trucks on/off the dyno along with other things. Let's get together and have some FUN. :D Oo. :D

Following is more information on the dyno day event.

We will be setting up dyno teams with various trucks at various power levels for some competition amongst our selves. This will be a combination stock truck with a modified truck to score points with the winning team being awarded a prize.

We need input on charities. Shay has gotten information on Flight For Life organization already. If there is someone you would like to see included let us know. We will vote on where the money for the charity will go in advance of the dyno day.

It will most likely be the usual $30 like in the past. Since this is a charity deal if you want to or could do more it would be appreciated.

Shay has posted information at the powerstroke web site the address is as follows. I do not know how to link so this is the best I can do.

Let myself or Shay know if you are going to attend and if you want to run along with your truck information so we can start setting up the teams. Secret weapons may be in a class by themselves. You guys know who you are.

I just got this e-mail from Shay with a little more info.

Hey guys, Shay here... ...

Just talked to Lance at PFI, verified September 25th and talked to him about taking one of my color printers up there so we can have color print outs of our dyno runs (thanks for thinking of that Bob)! He said that is fine, so Bob, maybe if you get some spare time you and I can run up there and take my printer and software, install it and make sure that it is going to run. Lance said anytime we want to come up and dink around with the computer is fine with him. Just let me know when is good for you. (By the way, I think the $30 fee will be the charge, just like always, as many runs as you want, but no changing out components while on the dyno. Only "flip of the switch" chips (instant program change). Bob figures that if we can get the programs set up to where we can just hit a button when it is Ford, Chevy or Dodge, that we can move trucks through really quickly. I am hoping we can make this the biggest and best and most cost effective dyno ever for our two clubs).

I also left a message for that hot dog cart guy that you gave me info on Bob. He hasn't called back yet, I will let you know when he does. In the meantime, as soon as we choose a charity, Lance said to check with Wendy's. He said that they are doing a deal now where they will do an event and give the proceeds to the charity too. I will call them and look into it more.

Also, I have only gotten two charity ideas, Flight For Life and Hospice of Larimer County. Anymore from you guys? I would like to get some more ideas and get them posted and start voting.

Let me know and I will keep in touch. It was great to see some of you guys at Truck Fest!

Shay

Mike,

I would be more than willing to help on the computer, or for that matter help with straping down trucks. Only one condition, this time I want to run my truck. Un-like last time!! Bye the way, you really had some nice runs last Sunday!!! Did I hear your wife say something about twins??????

Mike, Mike, Mike aren't you just a bit old to go and have twins:D Wish I could have made it last weekend. Hopefully I will make this event (not sure if I will be in town or not yet). Have yet to get up north for one of these. Would be good to see everyone again it has been a while since I have been able to make an event.

Your never to old for twins!!

Justin, we will make sure you get to run this time. It was B. S. the last time that you did not get on. It even made me mad. We will take what ever help we can get. Thanks for the offer.

Barry, It'll be a little rough on the little woman, but you're never to old to have fun making twins. Do what you can to make the next Dyno Day it's gonna be a GREAT time for all.

I wanna be on Scott's team :D

What'ya say, farm trucks VS City boys/pavement princesses?? Oo.

I'll have to check my hunting schedule, but I will try to make it.

sounds good!

well, if the rig survives Bandimere and the schedules line up I'll be there, and I'll try to bring a couple CTD bubbas from down here that are (as yet) not TDR members... but that'll change... always does when dudes go to these events - they always get bit by the bombing bug...

This stinks I need to find a diffrent Job!!! I hate working Saturday's missed all the good stuff for the past year!!!!aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh

idea to kick around

Thought that I would throw this out there and see if anyone had any good ideas on this or could cut us a good deal on the cost of buying/building something. Was thinking that maybe we could get a tent/banner/table ect. for RMTDR. Something to provide more info to prospective members, put a grill and cooler under, whatever we want to do as a club. Would be willing to help as I'm sure others would to make this happen. Maybe someone with designing skills would assist in making a cool banner/sign. Run with this and see where it goes.

JAmos - That is a great idea. Someone should get ahold of the TDR admin to see if they could help us with that/donate something.

Now is when we need our chapter officers to get involved.

I have AutoCAD and a B/W plotter. I also have a good friend that could whip up anything in Photoshop along with many other graphic design/animation programs. I can line up a color plotter and there's always kinko's.

How about a TV playing the TiM '04 highlights video in a loop? This might get people more interested seeing drags, dyno's, sled pulls, etc.

I would be happy with a nice large message board outside that would show what each truck just ran. The last ATS dyno day and Meet & Greet was slick with the projection screen that showed the dyno in action.

It would be nice to have something to do while waiting all day.
