Dyno Daze - Nov 15

Timing near Denver?

Hey Greg, don't ya wish I was running things again. I am just toooo busy to take it on again. Too bad there is not more that happens. I know that I would like to get together with you guys again. There are a great group of people in our area that I miss seeing. Maybe we should just get something set up to visit or a BS session. I agree that it's kinda dead and not really much activity. How do you like your Smarty? I love mine! ooops I wasn't supposed to let that out. You know how it is when you advertise "Slightly Modified". I'm still lovin my Silver truck. Although I miss the old rig.

I am an original member, I came up with the name "RMTDR. " I keep missing events for stupid reasons.

I am ready for show and tell, and dinner. The hard part is setting a date and location that makes most happy.

Mike, good to hear from you. As for my SMARTY I love that thing, boy did it wake my truck up. I'm glad you are liking your new truck, silver is the easiest to keep clean isn't it? Maybe we could set up a get together on a wednesday night at Bandimere. Its definitely gonna be hard for me to make any weekend events since I work from 2130-0730 Friday through Monday. But boy is it nice having three days off. I'm game to meet up next Wednesday 081308 even if its just for dinner somewhere with my fellow RMTDR members.

Greg

Kurt, was that you I saw in a recent magazine publication? It's nice to get recognized for something you have accomplished. I was glad to see that. Oo.

Greg, let's shoot for the 20th. I need sometime to plan and there are a couple other people I want to try to get to go also. I know of a 12 sec. or better truck I want to get there.

Are there any other of the old group out there interested in getting together? If so speak up and let's see if we can plan something even if it's just a sandwhich and a cold beverage.

Mike L.

Looks like the 20th is out for me, I have to work. Maybe we could set this up for the first part of September. The last week of August is gonna be crazy for me since I will be working 12 hour shifts for the DNC.

Greg

Greg, just let me know when you can go or we can just get together some place sometime. I still plan on going as the people I know with the 12 sec. truck may be ready or I will just go with my son. He has an 06 GTO that is pretty nice and his buddies are always ready to go.

Kurt, let me know if you can make it up. I believe you may know the people I am trying to get up there. I believe the powerstroke guys are talking about getting up there also. It would be nice to see Alan Black run his 97 stroke with the Cummins CR installed in it run. Don't know if he is quite ready yet though.

We can always just take the portable BBQ along with us and have something there or go by some place afterwards. I look forward to seeing you guys soon.

I'm much to blame for the lack of activity for sure. Between work and getting the 6BT conversion done in the RC I haven't had much time to enjoy time with my wife. Still, a get-together would be great, and I'm working on the Christmas party already.

So y'all know, there is a big weekend event coming up in Moab, UT. It is the last weekend in September, and it involves 3 solid days of wheelin', mostly full-size Dodge truck of every make and model, including a few CTD's - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gens.

The dates are Sept 26-28. Most of us are staying at the Moab KOA in the cabins. We depart Thursday morning from Christophers Dodge and haul the RC's over the pass and get into Moab around 5 pm. 'Wheel Friday-Sunday, return Monday. It is a fantastic time and a great workout for any truck. The only damage is a result of how hard you push the truck - 100% dependent on the driver, and there are bypasses around the hard-core stuff.

We're been pushing HARD to get the Ramcharger repower done - just got it running this past week. So far so good. Moab will likely be one of the first shake-down runs the rig gets. Fortunately we're hauling it out on a flatbed behind the '93.

If anyone is interested, please chime in and we'll work the logistics. Most of the threads are on the RCC:

Fall Moab Trip dates -Sept 26, 27, 28

Again, sorry for the lack of communication. One thing I would definitely like to set up is an October Dyno Day at KAZ motorsports in Colorado Springs. Any takers???

If anyone's interested I'm going up to Bandimere on Wednesday 09032008. I thought we could race a little then grab a sandwich and a cold beverage a bit later. All right then who's gonna commit to this date then?

Greg

Greg I can not make it this week. Maybe next time. I ran a 15. 1 a couple weeks ago when I went. Let me know how you did. I know a couple guys from work who are going. One drives an old elcamino and the other an old mustang. The camino should haul butt.

It stinks that things are so quiet on here lately. I've actually been considering letting my subscription expire. It seems like the recent economic developments have really put a damper on enthusiasm for all things diesel related. That said, there may be a Smarty Jr in my near future.
