NEW 2002/3500 4X4 CTD loaded for $30,499??

CD Changer installation

A fellow TDR Member was driving down to my place from the Bay Area this weekend. On arrival both hands were dripping blood. My Wife patched him up as he told what had happened. (he is a big man and an accomplished street fighter)

While stopped at an off ramp he saw a car with 4 men slide to a stop behind him. The Driver ran up screaming obscenities and saying "You Cut Me Off". This guy yanked open the Drivers door of the Dodge and met a fist in the face. ! The TDR member then performed An Attitude Adjustment on this person. The other 3 men never exited the vehicle.

We were wondering what was said when this guy ran back to his car and split. He had to say something. I bet he said "Did You Guys See What I Did To His Hand? He Won't Be Signing Any Autographs Tomorrow"

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

If that happened in Texas, the guy would be shot dead laying on the side of the road.

I didn't come home last nite with bloody hands, but a broken windshield. When I went through Tucson yesterday and going under an overpass I saw a teenage boy walking accross. Just as I got there, here comes a brick, bounces off my Freightliner hood and into the passenger windshield. First, much anger as there is nothing at all you can do. Then releif as I realized how bad it could of been. Could have been killed or run over someone else if it would have come through my side. Could have cost me $2,000 if it went through the intercooler and radiator or gone through the sleeper. Don't these kids know that someday they will grow up and buy a nice vehicle and how are they gonna feel when it happens to them or their wife or kid is killed by some low life moron without a brain. Windshield and some Imron is cheap, I'm lucky.

Glad you are OK, and no Major damage . The same thing happen to my buddy about 15 years ago, Three of us in the car cruising down the highway and BAM the windshield is smashed on my friends brand new Trans AM. My friend almost before the Brick hit the winshiled was on the gas and we hit the next exit we got to the over pass in less than 2 minutes, but no one was in sight... Good thing too, my friend is a very big man who was very Angry... Probably worked out best for him that the kid was no where to be found as well... .

About 6 years ago, I was driving down a 4 lane road in my '77 GMC 4x4 (real fine automobile:rolleyes: ) and see these kids on the other side of the road. They were probably 10 or so years old. I don't know why, but I kept watching them as I got closer. Then one of them threw a rock at the truck and hit the side of it. Dent number 264. I did'nt care about the truck, but was furious. I slammed on the brakes and drove over the median and started flying back to were the kids were still standing. When they saw me, I think they about wet their pants. I was'nt about to get out and do anything because of the neighborhood (ghetto) I was in, but at least I gave them a good scare. Parents and the trash these kids grow up around teach them that there is nothing wrong with doing stuff like this.

Very true!!!!!

A friend of mine who is a Denver cop was driving in the mountains on a 2 lane road. 2 guys were tailgating him so he pulled out to let them pass. They pulled accross the road to block him, got out and started toward him yelling; "We're going to kick your a--!"

Their attitude changed when he pulled out his badge and . 45 and told them to get back in their car.

I'm guilty of overpass bombing but in my day we were much gentler, used plastic bags full of soupy mud and only aimed at State Patrol cars. Us kids had a storm drain system close by for our escape route, knew miles of tunnels by heart. Unfortunately we were never caught...

Rocks and windshields

I know this is going to sound a little strange but it really happened. I even had my truck hit.

I was living in Franklin, Texas at the time, 1984 or 5. There was this one spot where rocks would hit your windshield. It was on the road going to College Station, from Whelock. It was out in the middle of nowhere on a paved road, no overpasses or anything. Well, while this one guy was following another PU he sees this Mocking bird drop something on the truck. From then on everytime we drove by there we watched for that bird. He was always there and would drop rocks on cars. :--) The mistery was solved. A little while later the bird wasn't seen again. I wonder what happened to it:D :D :D

Tell your friend to make a police report. If he doesn't and the other guy does and tells the story his way your friend might have a problem. Sorry for the XCop mentality, but better to be safe than sorry.

Last year i was out of town working and i parked at the airport. I got back in about 5oclock in the afternoon. I was making my way through traffic in the right lane and there was alot of traffic. Well i was behind another pickup and there were two guys in there truck, i notice they were acting weird and the passenger look like he was looking for something. I wanted to get in the left lane but there was traffic. Then i saw the passenger s arm and the next thing i heard a long a--s bang, and i saw a silver flash go over the truck. Will the idiots threw a trailer ball and it hit the bottom drivers side of the winshield. They hauled butt and started changing lanes and at the last minute jumped on a exit ramp. Man i was po. what is wrong with people now a days, i wanted to beat the hell out of them for doing something like that. I called the police and of course i didnt have the ball or a picture of them doing it  Of course i had to pay to get a new windsheild installed, if it hadnt of hit the very bottom i beleive it would had came through the damn windsheild.

One of my customers at work was in Austin several years back and he looks over at the guy in the car next to him. They're sitting at a red light and the guy decides he doesn't like the way he's got looked at so he jumps out of his car and jumps half way through the window of the pickup, punching him. The guy is caught completly off gaurd and reaches down and picks up a spur off the floor board of the pickup :D With the spur fimly grasped in his hand and the rowel sticking out between his fingers... . BAM  he hits the guy right between the eyes, guy drops like a bloody rock right there at the light. I don't know if anyone bothered to pick up the piece of trash or not, by then I believe the light turned green :D

Once I was driving down to Callville Bay at Lake Mead. The road is 4 miles and very winding. I was in my 79 Jeep Cherokee and some guy rides my rear bumper all the way down. Some turns are 25mph turns and I had to slow down for them, I was doing about 45. He almost hits me serving into the other lane coming close to hitting another car. I pull to the lanch ramp looking for my father to let him know I was back from the store. This man, about 5'5" and maybe 170 pounds and 56 years old jumps out of his van, and goes through my opened passenger window. I just come back from shopping and had bags in the front seat. He grabs a large can of Alpo, its all my dog will eat, and jumps back out the window.

I am in disbelif and tring to tell this guy to give me back my dog food and go injoy the lake. He gets upset and starts to throw the dog food into my windshield. I was still sitting in the drivers seat at this time. His two sons, about 16 and 18 try to talk to him. He walked calmly up to the driverside window and handed me the can. As I went to set it down, he punched me in the eye.

Now I am a calm guy, nothing gets me upset. Now I decide to exit my Jeep and these two boys try to hold my door close. I am 6'6" and was 260 at the time. I opened the door so fast both boys went down. I stood up and that old man looked scared and ran for his van and hoped in locking the door, leaveing his boys behind.

I am laughing and went to get the Ranger who was parked right there with his back to everything, sleeping. It went to court and his wife and both boys testified that he had a gun and it was pointing at me driving down the hill. The gun somehow jamed and did not fire. This scared his wife so bad she left him right then and there.

Since I was a volunteer for the Rangers he was charged for assaulting a fed. officer. It was also nice to be friends with the U. S. Assistent D. A.

It was also nice to be friends with the U. S. Assistant D. A. ?? When you guys make comments like that do you realize you are adding fuel to the (already large) fire? Do you have any idea how many regular people in this country don"t trust and just flat don"t like cops, partly because of comments like yours? Just wondering.

Too Bad !!

If people just don't like or trust Cops, you are not going to change thier opinion. I have been a Cop all my life, and I really don't care if those people love me or not.

DRR-24V: I didnt say anything about people loving you. You can indeed help to change peoples opinions by your actions. When you insinuate that you recieved preferential treatment or satisfaction in the justice systen because your a quasi-cop or because you are friends with D. A. then you reinforce negative opinions held by many. Recent events in my state, Arizona, as well as the never ending saga of LAPD, among many others give folks the distinct impression that the law enforcement community lives by another set of rules. The post I originally replied to is the type of thing that adds to that impression, all this of course my opinion. JTMcC.

Be he a "quasi-cop" or not, he got what he deserved. If he was being employed part time as a federal employee, then it was justified. Let me see, I dont recall you saying anything about the gun being pointed and the trigger pulled. As far as LAPD goes, they have gotten a bad rap from the Liberals in California for too long. As far as I am concerned, LA needs to be declared as a State of emergency and be put under Marshal law.

If that punk of a 56 year old had done that to me he would have been shot, while inside my vehicle. He got what he deserved, dont make an issue out of the fact that he was prosecuted under a different set of laws. He should be happy he is still alive. If the gun had gone off, he would have been on death row, hopefully.

No I don't. No lies were told and the guy plead guilty to all counts. Just because he is my friend how would that have changed the outcome? People who don't think or was looking for something could block out the fact that the Defendent plead guilty and ammited that he had punched me and he had the gun. After blocking that out, I guess one could say that nothing happened and I made it all up because I did not like the guy. I would hate to be a DA because you are not allowed to have friends.

The already large fire is from the very few who the so called news media follows around and listens to just for ratings. I live in Oregon and see these wackos all the time. They are only a handfull compaired to the general public, even here. People will use any thing as an excuss to do something wrong.

Police officers has the hardest job period. They see the worst in people every day. When was the last time the Police were called to a BBQ in progress with happy people. They get lied to all the time. A simple traffic stop for a burned out light could end their life. They have to watch their every move, both in uniform and out. There is no such thing as a off duty police officer. Their family life is hard because of job stress. They get paid nothing compaired to some of the crooks they arrest. They have the so called media just out looking for them to mess up. They have IA just wanting to bust a cop. Yes there are some bad ones, but just like the "already large fire" it is a very small amount that the media protrays as all of them.

I love ya man, and no I don't what your bud light. I respect the law enforcment community. I could never do it. I volunteered for the Park Rangers (law enforcment) for seven years. I did SARs, and was an EMT. I seen what they went through out in National Parks. I can't imagine what happens in cities. I am now a dispatcher for a College and tring to get on with a dept. I was just notifed Lake Mead NRA is hiring a dispatcher.
