Road trip mileage results

Just made a 600 mile road trip that was 90% interstate driving. If I kept my speed to 70 and below I got 20mpg. Pushing it to 75 or 80 mileage dropped to about 17. I have 4. 10s with 35" tires. 70mph is about 2200rpms. I really believe 3. 55s would help me out especially on trips like this. Just another item to add to the to-do list.

I have 3. 54s with new tires [265 75 16 load range e] and talking to some one the other day who thought my rpms were a little low [ 1750rpm 67mph ] I'm not sure ,

1700-1800RPM is the sweet spot for mielage on a 12v.

Best I have ever gotten w/ my set-up is 20. 7 and that was about 500 miles of interstate and 50 miles of city driving. Cruising at 65 mph.
