Years back, I used to drive from Methuen to Las Cruces a lot. I would suggest I-91 to I-84, grit your teeth and ease through the rest of CT, then zip across I-84 to Scranton. Pick up I-81 to the Penny green stamp west. Then take I-70 west. I imagine taking I-470 and I-465 around the south sides of Columbus and Indy might still be a good idea. From there, you can pick up I-44 to I-40. If you are moving to northern AZ, I might suggest heading all the way to KC, then heading SW to Wichita and picking up US54 to Tucumcari, NM, where you'd pick up I-40.

OTOH, if you're moving to southern AZ, you could stay on US54 to Alamogordo, NM, and pick up US70 westerly-bound. This will get you to I-10 at Las Cruces, on which you'd head west to Tucson. This would take you past White Sands Nat. Mon. (and across the missile range).

Back then, driving 65MPH or slower, it was about 44 hours from Worcester to Las Cruces - about 2600 miles. Today, driving 75, it might take 36 hours. Oh, and I *did* see the Wichita lineman on the line a time or two. :)

Prescott, huh?

Well, welcome to the neighborhood! Am here in Prescott for another 13 months. hahahaha... . only 13 more months left in this HOLE!!! Oh, sorry, typing out loud again! :D ;)

I'm just a young punk going to school, and this is 90% a retirement community, so it's not quite suited to me... we make due though. I'm not a fan of the winters here (not enough snow for my liking) and I've never stayed through the summers. I could probably retire here someday, but right now I want out pretty bad. I make it sound a lot worse than it really is though... promise.

What are you moving out here to do? PM if you'd like.

Let me know when you get in town... we can get together and have a mini BOMB party... it'll be me and you! LOL... ok, there is one other fella out in Prescott Valley that I've seen on here a couple times and met once by chance. He drives a '99 3500 w/ "Ride Red" on the rear window and a TDR sticker... haven't seen him online recently though.

Anyway, any questions or whatever, let me know.

If you want to see a real nice '56 Vette, go to Hackberry, AZ. on Rt. 66. It's at the only place in town. If you want to put your front wheels in the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, stop in at the Hualapai lodge in Peach Springs, Az. on Rt. 66 east of Hackberry, and get a permit to drive in on the Diamond Creek Rd. Nice 20 mile ride with great scenery.

mainer sounds more like some thing to check out after were there and unloaded un trailered. not when were weighed down at 13k w/ 20 foot goose!!!!definitely sounds good though!!!
