Over the years I'd fond a few cool things, but now a days I find mostly find nails and screws in my tires. On my way home from work I came across someone throwing away the rear tray that goes behind the seats on the floor of a 2nd gen single cab. I pulled over thinking cool, but the real treasure was the 2 smaller trays that go above the bottom tray. I've been looking for them for some time now but until now I came up with nothing. Who would have thought they would have been so close all this time. So whats some of the cool stuff you guys find on the side of the road?

Lopping shears, a 1" drive socket (along the train tracks), chain, spare tires, life jackets, an electric drill (which would have been cool if it hadn't been run over), pliers... on and on.

Good find, I've heard there are some sort of tray or compartment that goes under the rear seats of the quad cab 2nd gens, although I've yet to see them.

I found a brand new Die Hard battery at a rural intersection a few years ago. Initially I was pretty stoked and was thinking how lucky a find I had, especially since it was the exact same sized battery in my Mustang which was 10 years old and was about due for replacement, but my concience got the better of me. I pretty well knew it had to of come from Sears so I called up there, explained the story and said if someone came back in looking to buy another new battery to give me a call. Sure enough, it belonged to a single mother of 4. She had borrowed a relatives truck as her car was down and either left the tailgate down or didn't latch it tightly and it came out as she was leaving the stop sign making a corner. She was so happy she was nearly in tears when she stopped to pick it up the next day.

Aside from that, the normal stuff, a few chains, a heavy 4" wide strap that I keep under my back seat, and a nice cooler floating out in the lake. Initially I was a little leary on opening it, thinking someone may have disposed of some unwanted company :-laf. It was completely empty and better yet, spotless on the inside.
