Rock chip...ohhh no...broken light...do I need to go to dealer?

A large stone took out my passenger foglight housing on my 05. Bulb also went belly up. Do I have to go to the dealer to get a replacement housing? Any aftermarket alternatives that would most likely be cheaper? Anybody wrecked one? My local junk yards don't have any.

Don't be afraid to get at least get a price at the dealer. Sometimes they surprise you with a decent price. Having said that though, aftermarket may be the way to go. Or try a place that sells aftermarket bumpers. They may have some new take-offs sitting around collecting dust.

ahhh... I buy so much crap on ebay... . yet I didn't even think to do a search for this part there. . but a quick look indicates $150 for full set ups... lights, wires, switches. I hate buying more than I need

See if there's an http://www.certifit.com outlet nearby. Got my 99 Sport headlight assemblies for around $80 per side.

I had to replace one of my fog lights back in June 05. I went through www.dodgeparts.com and got mine. It was a pretty good deal. I think total was about 115. 00 or so. Only took about 10 min to replace. I know it was cheaper than going through the dealer, unless you dealer hooks you up. Hope this helps.

I did a quick search for "+ram +fog" and turned up one lamp for $57.

Had the same thing occur ---- $120 from the dealer. The lense alone is not available.
