Spent a good part of Saturday waxing my truck. The rocker panels have alot of chips in the paint. I know some of you have had these coated with Line-Ex or a similar product. I would like to know how this stuff is holding up to the abuse and if anyone would recommend a particular shop in Wisconsin that applies this protectant. Thanx

golinex.com that's the coorporate site. We've done a couple and none of them have come back for repairs at all so I assume they are all working. if you were in albuquerque I'd say come on down to the shop we could do it Friday. Too bad you're that far away but there should be a franchise near you

I used (rock guard) I believe that’s what it was call on my truck. it's made by Dupont and it was clear and relatively smooth so it doesn't tend to hold dirt and dust. Local paint and body shop did mine and re-sprayed the lower door jam at the same time. Been real happy so far. Now most of my chips in the paint are above where I sprayed. I guess you just cannot win sometimes.

Mine has been done for about a year now and it's holding up just fine. I considered it a great investment. I have some pic's in my profile if you want to look and see. I did mine in Alaska so I cannot recommend a shop, but I find where the different dealers send their vehicles too and go to those places for a quote.

I used the do it yourself linex type stuff on my K5 rockers from just behind the front wheel to the rear of the truck - Duraliner I think it's called - worked great, never chipped or anything.
