HO HO HO!! :D Howdy all y'all RMTDR folks! Mike Lockner and I wanted to set up a Christmas Party for all of us Rocky Mountain area types, and we are happy to announce that we're havin' us a Christmas Holiday Lunch Party! Oo.

Dec 5th, 12 - 3 pm - Denver, CO - Bennetts Pit BBQ, at 52nd and Wadsworth.

Mark your calendars and head on to Denver on Dec 5th for a nice lunch/meet and greet with all of the fellow RMTDR members. To clarify - if you're in the Rocky Mountain Region, and you're on the TDR, you're automatically a 'member'. Nothing official needed. ;)

Order from the menu from some of the best BBQ in the area! We have a 65-person room ready for us to invade. Bring a gift, receive a gift - Typically gifts are in the Cummins/Truck/Mopar/Repair/Detail range, and usually not more than about $20 bucks. Be sure to wrap 'em tho - the gift exchange is always a hit, and you never quite know what you'll end up with! :-laf

Bring your photo albums, scrap books, best bench racin' stories, and Santa hats. A lunch was thought of as the best time frame as some folks will be travelling from as far as Cheyenne and Pueblo, and we wanted to try to keep from having anyone driving home in the dark.

RSVP's not required, but please feel free to reply back to this post so we'll have a ball park number to look out for. I have pinged the generation forums as well.

Many more details coming, including detailed directions and the procedure for the gift exchange - yer gonna love it!

Thanks to all of you that have expressed interest in regional and meet/greet events. Mike and I are looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great day. See you then. Oo.

RMTDR friends,

More details on the meet/greet Holiday Party follows. The loaction is:

Bennetts Bar-B-Que

Bennett's Arvada

7490 West 52nd Avenue

I-70 to Wadsworth North to 52nd then East one block

Wadsworth is exit 269 on the West side of town

Coming North or South on I-25 Go West on I-70 to Exit 269 North

If you can, please respond to myself or Sam and let us know if you are coming. You can let us know if you want to join in on the Chuck Wagon Family style meal or if you want to order off the menu. Bennett's would like a approx. head count espically for the Chuck Wagon meal. On the Chuck Wagon meal there is seven different meats to chose from, plus the side dishes and stuff. We're doing the Chuck wagon meal as it will be the quickest for Bennetts as they have to prepare orders from the menu separate. Please chose what you would like to do and let us know. You are responsible for your own food and drinks. The friendship and entertainment are free. Come join us for a good time. The room holds up to approx 65 people and we can overflow into the restrauant if need be I'm sure.

Concerning the gift exhange. If you want to participate just bring a gift and there'll be a gift for you to chose from to open at the party or take home. We are also hoping for some donations to hand out as door prizes. We'll see what happens.

If my calculations are correct, and I cruise over there @ 2,000 rpm, the motor will only turn over like 1500 times door to door :)

This really sounds fun. At this point, you can count me in. Of course, if the roads are at all wet or the weather is threatening, then I'll have to re-think it. I guess I could just drive my Jeep if that's the case. :p

mlockner and sam, so far so good! The club is really going to take off.

alriiiight... good deal... pickin' up steam (read: boost increasing)... gonna be a good time. I can speak for at least 4 others in my circle that'll be there - me, TJ, Nate, and probably Red. Good times and good peoples - cool

BBQ, truck talk, good people what more could you want. I will be there if at all possible. I am 90% sure I can make it.

by the way the chuckwagon suits me fine

Well I guess you can commit me, I've got some hands to shake anyhow. Put me down for the chuck wagon. Not sure yet if the spousal unit will be riding along. I'll work this end on getting more interest. ;)

Mike & Sam, thanks for putting this together.

I keep saying I'm gonna come to things and then don't make it but you can count me in for this one. My trucks been down awhile and the 1st Gen is gone but its too close to miss (about 10min away) so I'll make it. And the chuckwagon sounds great.

I think I should be able to make it, I'm not sure if I will bring another though. Is the chuck wagon meal a pick your own meat? or do you get everything one a big arse plate?

'Burner -

I could use a co-pilot :D - I could meet you at the Sears lot and we'll ride up, ja? And even if something comes up with me there's sure to be a ride for ya either way.
