i was a little skepticale about this muffler performing as advertised. after all, it's basically a muffler with a 4 inch pipe through it with a few openings at one end. well, got it mounted up today and WOW! sounds sweet at idle, but on the highway, its quiet as stock! if any of you are looking to upgrade their exhaust but keep it quiet, this is the muffler for you! thanks Betterthanstock!

I have had mone in for about a year now and am still very happey with it. It will get quieter the more soot gets packed in.

So how did you end up installing the holes, and how far forward, like you asked in the other thread today? I'm just keeping tally of what works best on each truck. The long vs short wheelbase require different muffler orientation.

my tail pipe was off my 2004. 5. it had a knob or button on it just before the rear axel. i cut the tail pipe just after the knob. it left about 8 inches of pipe before it started up over the axel. i put the open end of the muffler on the engine side of the run. awsome muffler! i especilly like the throaty sound at idle!... james :D

Agreed! It's my favorite mod.

How's the Install??

Are there any installation issues? I was leaning toward a MBRP because it has welding hangers and has the offset up front. I have read that the Silent Might would basically require a muffler shop to install it. If it is a quick install, I might go with the Rokktech unit.
