So glad to see this Kneeling resolution

Trying to gas up a Tesla!

Anyone else out there have a Rokon? I just bought a '78 after my neighbor talked me into one. 2wd motorcycles are a hoot. I took his out and was amazed where these things will drag the rider. We even pulled the Dodge down the street to see if it was possible.

Now the wife wants one. They are a bit hard to find in decent shape. Ebay has a few but they usually bid up pretty fast.

Rokon

Hey todd, my neighbor has one of those.

He told me there is a forum simular to the TDR and a chat room too.

He is out of town right now but if you will pm me with your email, ill put him in touch with you.

He took his elk hunting this year and he said it was lotsa fun dragging out the bull with it!

There's a driveshaft that goes through the frame to the steering head with a u-joint to a gearbox with a sprocket. Then a regular chain goes to the front wheel. The only suspension is in the tires, so it makes it a little simpler.

Had a 72 trailbreaker, loud enough to give you a nose bleed by the end of the day. Just picked up there Scout model yesterday, with a 4-stroke Kohler engine. Can't wait to ride it in the mountains around here (Denver area). Have packed out deer with the 72 and ridden it alot, they will go anywhere you have cahones to hold on. Definetly not a race bike, they top around 18mph, although this new one is advertised to hit 40.

Very interesting. We hunt Montrose Co. , ofter thought about one while packing out the sometimes bull.

Let us know how the new one works out.

I now have two, a '78 and a '76 and am going to look at a '69 tomorrow. It's a sickness to be different! My neighbor has 3 also. We go on rides that are unbelievable. Places where the 4wd quads won't ever go (too wide and sidehills).

My boss has 3 that we tune up for him each year for hunting season. It seems to be a whole new learning curve as far as riding them. They feel very wierd turning into a curve. Not sure on the models, but one is a newer one with a Honda 4 cycle, and the others have Chrysler 2 cycles. He says if you have the wheel tanks, they better be full when you ford a stream, or you'll be taking a bath!

My dad had one of these a few years back. I thought he was crazy after he bought it, but after riding it, I saw the utility of it. Those things will go anywhere!

I definetly like my new one, the 4-stroke version is much nicer on the ears than the old 2-stroke that would leave you deaf after a few hours in the saddle. I took it for a spin last weekend and it has the ride I remembered from my 72, the seat spring supplied on my new one doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference, especially after 4 hours of riding. I bought mine with utility in mind, I plan on using it all winter for hunting, they do pretty good in the snow and are a lot easier to load into the back of the dodge, than an atv.

Todd,

Have you been out riding the Rokons lately? I am going this weekend with another rider here in colorado it should be fun. So far I like the 4-stroke, it is not as snappy as the old chrysler 2-stroke but is definetly alot quieter. The last place I rode was the desert and had to stick to the roads, everything else was signed off for hikers and mtn bikers only. I will hit the mountains this weekend for a while and see if I can find a little more challenging terrain.

Good luck with the bikes and the dodge.

I have 2 Rokon's that we are trying to sell. I believe they are both 78's. I am new to this sight and do not know how things work. We would like to sell them asap because we are moving and do not have room for them.
